Kids Club

camp-noggie-3We added our Kids Club in 2014. Our kids club is all about teaching how to give back to the community at a young age.  We have elementary school children making rubber band bracelets which are handed out at races that raise funds for cancer. Our middle school children are learning to loom hats. Our high school students are earning community service hours needed to graduate by looming hats. Want to participate? “Dear Cancer Patient,

I made this bracelet for you to help you remember that people love you and support you. It was made with care and hope to heal you. My dad has cancer and so I don’t know exactly what you are going through, but I know it must be tough. May everyone be blessed who’s wearing my bracelets.

With love and care, Sam

There are a number of schools that encourage their students to obtain a certain amount of community service hours. These are just a few of the ideas that the kids have come up with.  We are currently working with Hebron High School and Highland Park High School. They are going to make hats and bring in skeins of yarn to help count toward community service hours while others are knitting and looming hats.
