Passing Hats 2023
This past year has been a good one. We ended up making 11,948 hats for cancer patients both adults and children. I am also excited to tell you we are now trying to get 1,050 hats per quarter to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition for their Faces of Hope program. Those hats donated are going nationwide to ovarian cancer patients.
We have had a number of very generous donations of soft acrylic yarn this year and that alone is an amazing help. Yes we still do receive money donations to purchase yarn, but since COVID our numbers are way down. I am hoping to be able to continue our mission of placing a smile on a cancer patients face with a hat made with love. This March we will be entering our 14th year.
I cant thank our volunteers enough for all their hard work. We have those who make hats and those who pick up hat donations and those who deliver the hats to various infusion centers and hospitals. Without you we couldn’t do what we are doing. You all are very much appreciated.
