Camp Noogie is a weeklong camp for children who have a loved one with cancer. Families drop their kids off with us in the morning with every day having new activities for them to enjoy. While we do not spend much time discussing cancer directly, activities involve experiences meant to support the kids such as visiting therapy animals or depicting their worries as a “worry-monster” in crafts. It is a safer space for the kids to express themselves because they all have someone in their lives who has or has had cancer.
Just wondering who had more fun me or the kids? They had a blast making rubber band bracelets first one for themselves and the second one was for the individual in their family who is going through treatment.
I really enjoy looking at on this web site, it contains fantastic content.
Thank you so much for your kind words.
