Since the founding of Passing Hats in March 2011 to March 2018 we have obtained over 250 volunteers to help make and distribute hats that are given to cancer patients. We have grown from Texas to Colorado having talented groups and individuals who meet regularly to make these hats that are distributed in several states. From 2011 to now we have made and distributed 58,833 hats. This past year alone we have made 17,560. A huge Thank You to all who have helped us out from holding yarn drives, distributing hats to cancer patients, to those making hats. We could have not done it without you.
If you are interested in helping us out, contact me at [email protected]. We are always looking for volunteers.
I was lucky enough to find a beautiful burgundy hat waiting for me at the Cancer Support Community at North Texas (Red Door Room). It will be really nice to have a friendly cap now that we are getting colder weather. Thank you for giving out special caring gifts to brighten our days.
